If you’re new to the Copybot, then I encourage you to take a moment to walk with me down memory lane. I’d like to share with you the history and future of this blog.
The history of the Copybot
The Copybot was founded by Demian Farnworth. Demian is one of the best web writers—he has an uncanny ability to write clear, concise, and compelling web copy.
Demian is the former Chief Content Writer for Copyblogger Media (now Rainmaker Digital). He has written for many notable clients, including Hubspot, Crazy Egg, and Treehouse.
Today, Demian is continuing his tradition of writing content that demands attention and compels people to action as the Senior Writer for the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF).
Recently, Demian decided to hang up his hat at the Copybot. But don’t lose all hope. Before he retired his keyboard from this blog, he decided to pass the mantle of ownership along to me. This means his content and legacy at the Copybot will remain.
The future of The Copybot
At the Copybot, I will continue the work Demian has started. I will continue to share essential web writing advice, practical content marketing tips, and reflections on life and work. My goal is to provide you with actionable advice on how to use content to connect with people and compel them to action.
The lessons Demian has shared and the tips I aim to provide were not gained through research and writing posts. These lessons were forged through hard-fought battles in the trenches of life and business.

Here’s what others have said about me.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many great people and organizations. Here’s what some of them have had to say about me:
“As a strategist [Jesse] knows how to analyze a project, and then position it for the best results. And as a writer, he knows how to connect with an audience so that it grabs their attention, keeps them reading, and leads them to the next steps. He is a force to be reckoned with.” —Demian Farnworth, Senior Content Writer at Lutheran Church and Extension Fund
“Jesse is one of the most talented content marketers in ministry and publishing.” —Dave Schroeder, VP of Marketing at B&H Publishing Group
